Imdur (Isosorbide)
DESCRIPTION
Imdur belongs to a class of nitrates. The impact of the active substance, Isosorbidemononitrate, is the dilation (expansion) of blood vessels and helps the heart pump blood. Imdur is used to treat angina (chest pain). Other similar drugs include nitrates isosorbidedinitrate (Dilatrate-SR, isochronous, IsordilTitradose) and nitroglycerin (NitroQuick, Nitrolingual, Nitrostat, Nitro-Dur).
MODE OF APPLICATION
The recommended dose is 20 mg twice a day. Before the next dose it should pass at least seven hours. If you use a dose larger, the reception is 30-240 mg once a day.
MISSED DOSE
If you forget to take your dose on time, please do so as soon as you remember it. If this happens during the next dose, then you should not take the missed dose. Do not take a double dose. Return to your medication schedule for the next day and take it regularly.
OVERDOSE
Symptoms of overdose include heart palpitations, nausea, vomiting, fever, confusion, dizziness, severe headache, vision problems, stomach pain, bloody diarrhea, sweating, trouble breathing, cold or clammy skin, fainting.
STORAGE
Store at room temperature 20-25 C (68-77 F), away from moisture, heat and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom and reach of children.
